So I thought I’d take a break from the Bat-reps (that so works for this game), and write something on the options available for my crew of choice – the League of Shadows, in particular the ones I have available to use.
As with all crews there are Leader options, in the case of the League it’s two versions of the same character – Ras al Ghul, the Demons Head. Both have the standard Leader powers, as well as Mastermind, Martial Artist, Grand Strategist and Immortal, as well as Elite Boss: Ninja.
The League has access to the “common” henchmen of Blackgate Prisoners (though I have mine painted as Iron Heights Prisoners), and Arkham Lunatics. I haven’t fielded the lunatics as I don’t particularly like them but the prisoners I have are useful.
We also have access to several of Bane’s mercenaries (though not his Elite Merc’s), while not having the finesse of the ninjas they certainly have the ability to cause mayhem.
And finally we come to the epitome of the League – the ninjas, well almost. Ninjarette’s is more accurate for Lady Shiva’s League Agents as they have martial artist as standard they lack the stealth of full ninjas. Watch out though as Endurance 4 means they go down easy.
Ok, you’ve waited patiently for them, here come the ninjas. As standard they all come with Martial Artist and Stealth, despite not being able to be outnumbered I wouldn’t advise soloing them as its still better to outnumber the enemy. While Stealth reduces the spotting distance of them it’s still advisable to use cover where possible (way too many enemy crews can get Night Vision after all).
Well, that covers all the models in my extended crew (so far), enough that I can field various options at most point levels without feeling I “have to” take specific combinations.
Personally I like the lower point games (150 rep) as they feel like a gang patrol running into another crew while on the streets.
